Who is responsible?

The BSides Eindhoven organizing team is responsible for the event-update mailing list. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

What we collect and why

We collect the email address you provide through the signup form, together with the date and time you subscribed. We use it only to send updates about BSides Eindhoven events, including dates, programmes, and registration. Our legal basis for this mailing list is your consent.

Subscribing is optional. You can browse this website without joining the mailing list.

How long we keep your email

We keep your email address for ongoing BSides Eindhoven event updates until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. This includes updates about future editions of the event.

Withdraw consent or unsubscribe

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address you subscribed with and asking to unsubscribe. We will stop sending event updates and remove your address from the mailing list. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Storage and service providers

The signup website is self-hosted by the BSides Eindhoven organizing team. Subscriber email addresses are stored privately on our server and are not displayed publicly on this website. Our hosting provider processes data to operate this service. This website does not use cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts or fonts.

We never sell your information to third parties or provide the mailing list to sponsors. Any service used to send event updates will use your email for that delivery purpose. We will update this notice when the email-delivery provider is confirmed.

For questions about service providers, processing locations, or safeguards for any transfers outside the European Economic Area, contact [email protected].

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy of your data, and object to processing. You can also withdraw your consent. Send requests to [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before handling a request.

You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (opens in a new tab), or another competent data protection authority.
